  • Punishing and addicting, but fun is a hard adjective to give this game

    By Nunyuz
I spend way too much time on this game, if I’m to be entirely honest. It’s Star Wars, I love Star Wars, it’s simple. But what these devs are doing is just dirty. EA CG have created a masterpiece of “Screw you Pay me” art. They have added unbalanced characters behind paywalls, raids that require said characters to even stand a chance, and now nerf the characters doing the best in these raids. I don’t want to write a 12 page essay on this, so in short I don’t recommend this game for competitive players, or players who don’t like being locked out behind a paywall for new content on a free to play game. Edit: Dev just responded with a canned response but that doesn’t mean jack. No one take that response at its word, it’s all they ever say
  • Buying Shards

I’m now level 83 ( again ) bc you can’t transfer from android. That’s not my issue. After so long of grinding on this game I find it truly maddening that you can spend days if not weeks trying to get crystals to buy character shards. I just spent 1299 crystals on a character pack and it gives you 5-330 or something like that, I got 7 shards. This happens 85-90 % of the time. Same as buying crystals with your actual money, no good chance of getting a decent amount of shards. If you’ve got a lot of extra free time with no hope of really feeling any success, this is your game. If there is an increase in crystal earnings I’ll give a better review but this is a rip off.
  • Too glitchy and hard now

    By KATOR Perkins
I used to play this every day. Now whenever I pick it up, it just leaves me frustrated. If you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars, you will never be able to compete with the whales who keep this game afloat. Characters are impossible to unlock. I used to love this game. Now I absolutely hate it. Screw EA, those greedy scumbags.
  • EVENTS!!!!!!

    By Minecrafter2384
Ok, my problem is the events. Especially Luke’s and Rey’s hero journey it is just for 1. You need to complete the pieces and plans event which you need to have 5 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 star first order which is HARD to get and I’m a level 70 and only have 1 7 star character which is mace windu. And for the hero journey I need a 6 star character which is dumb for their 1. And I need R2-D2 for the other hero journey. My second problem is some characters. I really need Mother talzin And the probe droid. But I can only get Talzin in a card pack and the probe droid through guild event. My third problem is SHIPS!!!!! Why isn’t there like the Episode IV falcon? And why is there Biggs X wing and Resistance C wing? My fourth problem is the most obvious Checking for updates screen. I have LTE data and when I do that I sometimes says checking for updates same with my normal internet rarely it says Checking for updates. A few more things please add Embo, Snoke, And episode III Obi-wan.
  • Loading Bug

By Dork Diaries. 10 YOU SAY?????
I got this game today, being a Star Wars superfan and hearing great things about it from friends, only to find that it never loads. I've tried to run the app over ten times today, and it gets to the 'loading cantina' screen, then just lags out of the game back to my home screen. I'm sure this is a great game, but it's with a heavy heart I rate a Star Wars game with 1 star until you fix this.
  • Terribly run game

    By Phreedumb
The devs are rude. Money spent is nerfed. Uninstall and run now.
  • Sad state

    By Rate it 2012
If you are looking for a new game...keep moving. Unless you are willing to spend thousands, not hundreds, but thousands, it’s difficult to catch up. I’ve played the game for a year and still struggle to keep up even with spending on occasion. I will no longer spend on the game however. CG (and EA) care about making money and that’s great, it’s a business. But you see little improvements in game. It has lots of bugs and recently under went a QoL update that was underwhelming to say the least. Oh and if you try to give the company criticism on their forums, they'll act petty or just remove your post.
  • Two years in, $0 spent, LOVE THIS GAME!

    By DarthArrate
A free to play gem that is all KOTOR battle mode! I’ve played this game for two years and it is the BEST free-to-play Star Wars game I’ve ever seen! Why SWGOH is great: 1. Truly free to play! Granted, you can buy stuff and get characters and gear faster, but if you’re patient you don’t have to! I’ve ranted about “pay to win” as much as anyone, and in two years have not spent a single penny, but it’s the whales that give us all a fantastic play experience: we love them. 2. Guilds: Donations are encouraged, communities and online friendships are formed! Something about the love of Star Wars has made the guild aspect of this game absolutely wonderful. Now that Territory Battles have been introduced, guilds continue to be more and more beneficial to the player while creating a “family”-like competetive environment. 3. Raids: three raids now give guilds in-house competition and continued growth challenges. Rancor, HAAT, and now the Sith raid (KOTOR 2 revised! Amazing!) keep the daily grind of farming from becoming monotonous as there is always a new goal to strive toward! 4. Darth Revan is coming (eventually)! Need I say more? 5. Transactions are not in your face: Reality is that money is needed to run a game like this and make it top quality. This game is top quality! Excellent graphics, multiple Star Wars Universe backdrops, true-to-character animations, and continuing new features cost money to develop. Yet in two years as a 100% free-to-play player, I’ve NEVER felt pressured to buy anything to be able to competetively play. 6. NO stupid ad clicks or click to watch this video requests! Download this game and enjoy the Star Wars holotable experience!
  • Great until next update

    By Ren73
That is, the game as it stands is pretty good, nevertheless what developers try and set out to do with their updates end up changing the gameplay basics and change the rules and nature of the game. Every time they try a new update they introduce features that throw off your experience as a gamer, only to make the same drastic adaptations after the update (and after a ton of complaints) only to make it barely playable... How would you like a game that constantly and inconsistently changes rules? That is not much of a game... And time after time the cycle repeats after each update. My advise: wait till the game becomes abandonware and you will have a consistent, fun, strategy game that is not tampered with every so often. And if it wasn’t enough EA has made it so unbearable that the only way to be competitive is to buy items/characters for an insane amount of dollars.
  • Fun yet a Cash grab

    By Kiddierimzo
I’m in too deep to quit, but wow are they disappointing me. This game is a weak attempt for EA to milk money out of you. They continually screw the player base and care about nothing but profit. I wish I could quit, but I’m too addicted. Do not download if you value money/sanity/time. Other than that, it’s fun.
